Welcome back to Tea Talk, y’all. I’m back in LA again for a bit, which is always a great vibe. Also, I have some fun stuff in the works, like new livestreaming content, so keep your eyes peeled! Alright, let’s get to it.

THIS WEEK’S TOP FIVE 🖐️

  1. 🗡️ Shogun, Hulu’s new feudal Japan-set drama, is conquering the streaming ratings, claiming the top spot on Samba TV’s viewership chart. Considering how much I’m watching it, I’m not surprised.

  2. 🏀 The NCAA’s March Madness brackets are officially up! I already got mine printed and posted on the fridge. It’s going to be a fun few weeks of watching games on every channel at the same time.

  3. 💸 Reddit is going public today and, in a twist, is offering its shares to top users. Will Reddit be the new Reddit-powered meme stock?

  4. 📷 Looks like TikTok is taking on Instagram with a new photo app after IG took on TikTok with Reels. The rivalry deepens…

  5. 👑 This Kate Middleton photo-manipulation drama is inescapable. I’m calling it a royal Where’s Waldo?

✨ ADVICE OF THE WEEK

Networking can be tough — everyone’s nervous at first to put themselves out there. But I’ve learned a few tricks over the years:

  • You have to shoot your shot. Send that cold email or that DM. Maybe they don’t care and ignore it — no harm, no foul. But maybe they’re interested and lend you a hand or want to meet.

  • The more you try, the more you’ll succeed. I sent out a million emails when I first started creating content. The more shots you take, the more likely you are to score — it’s a numbers game.

  • Networks grow organically. Once you start making some connections, those connections will want to connect you with their connections. That’s how communities are formed.

Whether you’re looking to collab with another creator or just pick the brain of an expert in a field you know nothing about, it all starts with the courage to reach out and show you’re curious and passionate.

🔥 TIKTOK TRENDS

  • “UNWRITTEN X INTOXICATED” — a mashup between “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield and “Intoxicated” by GTA & Martin Solveig that’s like a celebration on caffeine.

Takeaway: Use in a POV to share a sincere victory or try out your chaotic-comedy chops.

  • “That’s not a compliment” — a sound clip from the comedy talk show Larry Reid Live that starts like a compliment… and then quickly goes downhill.

Takeaway: Pair this audio for a perfect funny reaction video, or get creative with a timelapse.

  • “I like staying in” — a sound clip from Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place channel praising days where you get to just be a homebody.

Takeaway: Use the audio for a carousel post, day in the life video, or fit check of your best staying-home cozy vibes.
